Bad Rubbish

Well, DeLay is officially out today; his machinations leaving the 22nd district without representation untill early next year. This was not just a grab for some last millions in his defense fund, he wants to pick his own successor, Sugarland Mayor and foster gulag board member David Wallace. Does DeLay, who's running a fatuous video plug from Stephen Colbert on his Defend DeLay site, really think we're all as stupid as his fanatic supporters? Maybe so.
Meanwhile the Bush machine is ginning up their homophobe flag-waving operation (9-11) to try to (9-11) hold on to their congressional (9-11) majority.
As Scott Reed, Bob Dole's '96 campaign manager said, "If you're a gay who likes to burn flags, it's going to be a long year."
In yesterdays paper, the Chronicles editorial board suggested that the public is seeing through this bullshit. I hope they're right. Could this be the first time that somebody went broke underestimating the American public? We can only hope that these SOB's do to their GOParty what they're doing to the USA. Remember the Whigs?

Great post. This kind of thing used to be news back in the day. But your right people notice anyway.
